Makedoniko is a virtual storyteller and part of the Macedonia Through the Past project. He brings to life old Macedonian legends, folk tales, and oral traditions passed down from generation to generation.
His mission is to preserve the spirit of the past and bring forgotten stories closer to new audiences. Through a warm storytelling voice, Makedoniko guides us through the world of ancient beliefs, heroes, villages, customs, and mysteries that remain deeply rooted in collective memory.
Makedoniko is the voice of the legends that must not be forgotten.

3. Balkans Through the Past
Balkans Through the Past is a digital heritage project dedicated to preserving and reviving the rich history of the Balkan Peninsula through the power of artificial intelligence.
Using authentic archival photographs, each image is carefully restored, colorized, and brought to life with realistic AI animation while respecting its original historical character. Every restoration aims to preserve the atmosphere, architecture, clothing, and everyday life captured in these rare moments from the past.
The project shares forgotten stories, historic streets, villages, cities, traditions, and people from across the Balkans, making history more accessible and engaging for modern audiences.
Since its launch on 16 August 2025, Balkans Through the Past has published hundreds of restorations and animations across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, inspiring viewers to reconnect with the cultural heritage of the region.
